There's a fire on the mountain. FIRE! FIRE!

Controlled burning they call it. Looks a bit hazy to me. Here in Africa, this a rather common occurrence, believe it or not. Children even have a fun little game they play in which one person shouts "there's a fire on the mountain," and the rest respond, "fire, fire!" (It's quite fun you know.) But the purpose behind this type of remedy is exactly that, a remedy. Most people owning land will burn sectors of there plot in order to keep the grounds properly fertilized. The only problem is that far too commonly does the fire run haywire, or as my good friend Mutsa would say at a forgotten thought, "it is running away." For now, we will just continue to keep watch, maintain an open heart and open mind and just enjoy, well, Africa!
